It wasn't that bad after all. Everyone was nice and kind to me. At least in front of me. Some were sympathised with me. At least today I knew how malignant my big boss is. So be careful if you want to do anything. Anyhow, what she gave, she would definitely get back.
A few interesting patients in the ward:
1. A demented/delirious old lady.
2. A young lady with diabetic ketoacidosis. She skipped insulin due to fever and ended up having DKA.
3. End stage renal failure lady with allergic reaction. She had a fall and bruised her right knee.
4. An asthmatic patient with chest x ray which shows bronchiectasis.
5. An unstable angina patient who also needs to be investigated for peptic ulcer.
6. A newly diagnosed hypertension with strained pattern of ECG.
7. Acute kidney injury with sacral sore. Started Ryles tube feeding and will be discharged with it.
8. Two hypoglycaemic patients.
9. Acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma. Exposed to air conditioner at work, requested a letter for employer.
10. Acute gastroenteritis with dehydration. Apparently they also give maxolon dan lomotil in the ward.
11. Line related sepsis.Started on IV Fortum and IV Cloxacillin.
Almost all dengue patients they checked VBG and coagulation profile. Hmmmm.
Learnt about IJC insertion before ending the day. Multiple attempts on the right side before changing to the left side. Poor makcik.I was only observing anyway.
Monday is new case clinic day.
Tuesday is chest clinic.
Wednesday and Thursday is MOPD follow up clinic.
Friday is chest clinic.
The ward is warm or should I say heaty! Six more days before migrating to male ward. Tomorrow should be a fruitful day. I am ready to be more proactive and make full use of the attachment. I'll prove to the boss that I am stronger than you think. Wherever you send me, I'll survive!
Quite happy that my colleague actually remembered me as his good senior who taught him how to insert branula during housemanship. And today he taught me how to insert IJC after more than three years! See, what you give, you get back.
Alhamdulillah syukur ya Allah. May the coming days will be the most beneficial for me. Give me strength and flawlessness.
