To MAS, With Love

I spent six years travelling to and fro Republic of Ireland for my degree. In that six years, I had been always using Malaysia Airlines, except during the final flight when I brought my parents for conferring ceremony. That time I had to fly with KLM as MAS was too expensive (due to quite last minute booking).

I had been always satisfied with their service. From ticket counter at the office, till the air hostess, they have been always kind and nice to passengers. (Unlike KLM, their staff were a bit unfriendly to me). MAS has a very good record in terms of safety and service, until 8th of March 2014.

Since their announcement of the missing plane, I already believed that the plane had a mishap. In other name, crushed somewhere. But hopes by hopes began to built each and everyday. Theories were created about politics, about terrorism, about some conspiracies…and the mystery was finally spoken as "ended in the Indian Ocean" yesterday.

I only found out about the news early morning today. So sad to see people offering condolences to the family members. Some mothers were saying that their son/daughter were still alive according to their motherly instinct. I would never look down on a mother's instinct, however, in this case, I believe that these mothers were still in denial. They are still going through the stages of grief. And when PM announced the latest news last night, they all burst into tears, and some even fought with the airplane authorities. They were in anger stage. Soon they will begin to accept it, insyaAllah.

Too sad also to see the face of MAS CEO, who also burst into tears yesterday. He lost 12 of his own crews and this tragedy is too heavy to carry.

It is also sad that perhaps a week or two before the tragedy, we heard that MAS had a misfortune in their finance by millions of ringgit. I still remember many years back, MAS had trouble with financial crisis too and people relate that with the purchasing of expansive photo frame and the alcoholic servings in flight. Then came Idris Jala, who brought up the company back.

I believe this is one of the way Allah is showing us that there are still many things needed to be change. Nothing more important than His blessings. So please stop doing things He forbid.

My condolences to all family members of crew and passengers of MH370.

Malaysia Airlines is always in my heart, the best airline ever.
