Interview for dummies

Kali terakhir menjalani temuduga ialah lima tahun yang lalu, segerombolan pelajar KMPP mengembara ke ibu kota, untuk temuduga ke Ireland. Balik tu sampai demam-demam. Esok ada interview, setelah sekian lamanya. So malam ni kena prepare untuk jawapan-jawapan yang biasa.

1.       What do you see yourself in 10 years time?

I see myself as a woman with a complete family, living with my husband and 2-3 children. As for my career, I should have been a senior doctor in a field that I am interested in, probably a registrar, but hopefully as a consultant.

2.       Future career plan?

As for now, I am interested to further studies in ophthalmology but I think it is unfair for me to decide now, as I haven’t really get the full exposure in other specialties. I am also interested in endocrinology and geriatrics. Perhaps I will make up my mind when I do housemanship. [merepek habis…]

3.       What do you think of one Malaysia?

Well, I think it is a good concept, every leader should come out with an idea or vision, in this case I believe that our prime minister is trying his best to please the Malaysian and gain the trust from us. [a tricky one, I dare not to go on further …]

4.       Chikugunya?

Chikungunya fever, is a viral illness that is spread by the bite of infected mosquitoes. The disease resembles dengue fever, and is characterized by severe, sometimes persistent, joint pain (arthritis), as well as fever and rash. It is rarely life-threatening. Nevertheless widespread occurrence of diseases causes substantial morbidity and economic loss. Treatment is supportive and symptomatic, patient is expected to recover but covalescence can be as long as 1 year. No vaccine. Prevention is important. Caused by female Aedes!!Most cases reported in Sarawak.

Quite similar to dengue. Aedes mosquito. Dengue however has serious complication which is dengue haemorrhagic fever– can lead to death. Dengue high case in Perlis, Perak and Penang. Diagnose clinically + serology + polymerase chain reaction.
